Chock Side Table

The Chock side table embodies a harmonious blend of minimalist aesthetics and functional craftsmanship

Unlike conventional assembly methods, the Chock side table features a wedged through-tenon that elegantly secures the top to the base, eliminating the need for screws, nails, or glue.

This innovative approach not only enhances the table's structural integrity but also evokes a sense of tranquility and playfulness.

The table-top connects to the base, not at the centre, but slightly offset. This creates tension and plays with the viewer’s perception of balance.

Each wedge is ebonized to establish contrast, before being shaped and fitted to each table individually.

CHOCK is hand-made in Switzerland using solid oak and traditional joinery methods.
