This pair of chrome-plated cantilever chairs from Häggström is in excellent condition. The frames are made of solid chrome tubes and are almost as good as new. The brown/beige mottled velour fabric shows hardly any signs of wear and the thick cushions offer good seating comfort. The suspension consists of a black linen cover that is stretched into the chrome frames. These armchairs are the exclusive version with newspaper pockets on both sides.
The Swedish designer Johan Bertil Häggstöm designed these armchairs in the 1970s. They were manufactured by the German furniture manufacturer Herlag, among others. After working for several manufacturers, Häggström founded his own studio. Classic design from the late 1960s/early 1970s.
