This chair is a conceptual reworking of the iconic Art Deco sunray motif, transformed into a one-of-a-kind statement piece. It was meticulously crafted using laminated solid wood for the seat and back supports, showcasing the striking contrast between the stunning yellow hues of pau amarello and the deep red tones of padouk, symbolizing the beauty of a setting sun. The design celebrates the rich variety of timbers, blending natural materials with artistry to create an unforgettable visual impact.
Exhibited at the Art London Fair in Chelsea in October 2010, this chair is not only a functional seating piece but a piece of design history. It combines the timeless elegance of Art Deco with modern craftsmanship, featuring ash, padouk, pau amarello, and brass inlay to highlight both the artistry and durability of the materials.
This chair is more than just furniture; it is a celebration of design and wood craftsmanship, making it a remarkable addition to any collection.
